Mercury Society Christmas Bash

We had more fun than we should admit decorating the New York Athletic Club for the Mercury Society Christmas Party! Our obsession this Christmas has been combining metallic ornaments, white fresh flowers, and red berries for a fresh and shockingly inexpensive way to create a sophisticated holiday atmosphere. Another trick is rent linens in really vibrant colors - our special favorite is the candy cane stripes we used in the Card Room. And isn't our lit up little nutcracker such a cutie?

A&A - a first look ...

congratulations to albert & ashley esposito
married 11/6/10 in st. thomas

EBE has been involved in planning this destination wedding at the Frenchman's Reef Marriott in St. Thomas for more than a year and we are so proud! Albert and Ashley were our very first clients!

The cliff side ceremony was one of the most breath taking sights we've ever seen. The bride was radiant and the groom was beaming! They were joined by over sixty loved ones to witness their heartfelt vows. Being in the Caribbean provides such an amazing backdrop.

We are looking forward to sharing more photos from the amazing photogs at Blue Glass Photography. Stay tuned ...

The Great Bridal Expo - VIBs

VIB = Very Important Bride

And they were out in droves last night at the Great Bridal Expo at the Marriot Marquis in Times Square! A special thanks to all that came by to drop a raffle ticket or chat with us at Table 58.

And if you were there in the first hour you got to take home one of the hottest giveaways of the night - the buri fans with our cards attached. Typically we use the fans at a ceremony. Check out the portfolio on our website for some pictures.

What we noticed most about the awesomely cool ladies that came to see us was that they had most of the planning under control because they know what they want. We want to make sure that brides understand that we can work as consultants - helping you do the research to find the perfect venue, coming up with design ideas and themes, the personal little details or just being there the day of your wedding to make sure that everyone runs according to plan.

We're going to talk more about "Day Of" planning in our next update. In the meantime we want to thank everyone who came out last night to show their support. If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact us.

"day of" planning: Frank & Tiffytini's

For Frank & Tiffany's September 11th Wedding we were onsite the day of their momentous occasion to coordinate the day's events and make sure the happy couple were... well... happy. Tiffany was a stunning bride and all the guests seemingly had a blast!

Our favorite detail of the night was the Signature Drink: The Frank & Tiffytini. Check out these signs we made and put all over the bars at the cocktail hour. The drink itself was even pink - to match the colors of the wedding!

accessorizing with shells ...

We wanted to incorporate island elements to 'dress up' the wedding and sea shells served to be a handsome way of doing just that. We used island themed rubber stamps and rub off stickers (our newest obsession!!!)

We then placed the shells as table accents for the rehearsal dinner ... and everyone took them home!

As a fun and decorative alternative to escort cards we used rubber letter stamps and the same sand dollars we used at the rehearsal dinner.  Each guest was pleasantly surprised to find a shell with their name and table number waiting for them on a table covered with sand, when they entered the venue for the cocktail hour.

Leah & Michael got married!

Leah Thomasson and Michael Spano were married on
Sunday, May 30th on the beautiful island of St. Martin.

They wanted to share the island’s treasures with 96 of their closest friends and family and therefore decided to invite them to share in a week long of festivities, including boat excursions to Sandy Island, Anguilla, A Casino Nights on the Dutch Side, A Rehearsal Dinner BBQ and of course the Wedding Ceremony & Reception.

You can see all the photos here courtesy of the gorgeous work of our friends Lauren & Kelson at love&photo

http://spanowedding.loveandphoto.com/

Engel Baron Events planned a casual and chic wedding using the bride's chosen colors of green and white to reflect the beautiful tropical scenery and especially Leah's favorite flowers - orchids.  We also threw in some accents of orange to match the classic rum punch cocktail - their signature drink famous in the Caribbean islands... and famous in Spanoville!

Our First Destination Wedding - a sneak peak before we go ...

one fish, two fish, red fish, new fish

Earlier this month we hosted a baby shower for the lovliest of expectant moms courtesy of their families. No one knew that the now gorgeous twins - Phoenix and Dashel - would be a girl and a boy so we thought what's more universal for all kids than Dr. Suess?

Some of our favorite details yet went into this shower -

Beta fish swimming in bowls as centerpieces ...

Swedish fish as favors ...

Did we mention the ballon towers?
